My Own Grief Journey
I have experienced many losses and many types of loss throughout my lifetime. Somehow, I instinctively understood that there was no way to bypass my grief. I knew that I had to walk through a mourning period, no matter how long it took, if I wanted to emerge healthy in body, mind, and spirit.
Following a catastrophic double loss in 2006, I had to schedule periods of crying and sleep in between periods of work. I was frankly shocked by the impact of
the grief. It affected me physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
The most surprising aspect of it was the sense that I was no longer tethered to the earth. The
sensation of being ungrounded was similar to an experience I would have many years later when I had a bad trip-and-fall and suffered a twelve-week concussion.
I had no roadmap, no blueprint, no grief coach to help me through any of my losses.
As I talked about on the Home page, during my years as a biographer-ghostwriter, I was able to bring a deep level of empathy and compassion to the interview process due to my own grief journey.
Now I have acquired the training and tools to help you through your grief journey, In this way, my life has come full circle. I look forward to being able to support you with a plan and a roadmap tailored to your specific needs!
